Hourly range for Registered Nurses $38.26-$59.35 / hour

Responsibilities*
Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients before and during their electrophysiology procedure, including but not limited to; patients undergoing ablation procedures, device implants, device and lead extractions, cardioversion, or tilt table tests.
Coordinate and participate with all members of the health care team including technical staff, physicians, nursing and CRNAs.

Salary & Nursing Framework Level:
- This UMPNC RN posting is posted as Nursing Framework LEVEL C.
- Actual Nursing Framework LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire.
- Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level F.
Required qualifications must be met by the candidate in order to be interviewed and considered for the position. Posting may be filled after the initial 5-day posting period. Positions less than 20 hours/week may be combined.

Required Qualifications*
Description: Current licensure to practice nursing in the state of Michigan.
Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience.
2 years of ICU/PACU/ED experience within the last 3 years, or Cath or EP Lab experience within the last 3 years.
Experience with monitoring arrhythmias, hemodynamic pressures, emergent management of the cardiac patients and working knowledge of emergency cardiac medications.
Experience with conscious sedation and airway management.
Excellent communication and inter-personal skills. Ability to multi-task and work effectively in emergent situations.
ACLS certification required.

Desired Qualifications*
- Cardiac ICU experience within the past 3 years.
- Experience in caring for patients with intra-aortic balloon pump therapy and other ventricular assist devices, undergoing ablation procedures, device implants, device and lead extractions, cardioversion, or tilt table tests.
Work Schedule
Hours: 36 hours
Shift: 0.9 FTE (36 hours) 12hr shifts, day /evening rotating so start times at 6 a.m., 7 a.m., or 9 a.m.
Monday through Friday, weekday and weekend call required, with a 90-minute response time.
